When designing and fabricating a piece, I often find that my inspiration comes from the stones themselves. I am drawn to these organic substances of the earth and the juxtaposition of combining them with clean geometric shapes and contrasting textures. The individual stones and sterling structures almost seem to choose each other to create their own story together. It always pleases me when someone is immediately attracted to one certain piece. It is as if they hear that particular story, too. This phenomenon emphasizes the intimacy of wearing one of a kind jewelry so I often incorporate a detail that is known only to the wearer.

My jewelry fabrication studies began at the Spokane Art School and in workshops with master artists. I continue to explore jewelry art techniques in my studio at Priest Lake, Idaho. Not only do I enjoy the creative process with

torch in hand, but I am also gratified to see the intimate connection between the wearer and the jewelry piece.
